Norwich 6, Oneonta 1

ONEONTA – What Norwich coach John Stewart thought would be his team’s toughest match this season was anything but that.

Other than a first singles loss, the unbeaten Tornado (4-0) won in straight sets down the line in Thursday’s romp over Oneonta.

Matt Craig and Roman Cwynar remained unbeaten at third and fourth singles, while the Tornado trio of doubles teams also kept their records perfect. “Oneonta was missing their third singles player, and that might have made the match more competitive, but overall, we just played really well,” said Norwich coach John Stewart. “Everyone played solid tennis today.”

Norwich is at Johnson City Monday.
