Johnson City 5, Norwich 3

JOHNSON CITY - Johnson City outhit and outplayed the Purple Tornado Friday, although the local club stayed in the game playing error-free baseball.

Vince Trayling had three hits and two RBI for JC, and Adam Kettle finished with two hits and two ribbies. Winning pitcher Colin Arvanitakis allowed just three hits and no earned runs to pick up the win. NHS scored all three of its runs in the last inning without a basehit. Three Wildcats errors and a balk led to the trio of tallies. "We put the ball in play and only struck out three times,” said Norwich coach Rich Turnbull. “We just hit it at them, and Trayling made four or five great catches in centerfield. Any one of those balls drop in the outfield, it's a different game."

NORWICH – Sidney ran roughshod over its second straight Chenango County opponent in as many days ripping NHS pitching for 19 hits in a blowout win Saturday.

Billy Kozak was 4-for-5 with three runs scored, Noah McKee had three hits and three ribbies, and Trey Crawford drove in three runs.

“They’re really good. I think they would do some damage in our division in STAC, no doubt,” said Norwich coach Rich Turnbull of Sidney.
