Holland Patent 6, S-E 3 (8 innings)

SHERBURNE - An error kicked off Holland Patent’s three-run eighth inning in Monday’s extra innings victory over the Marauders (5-5).

Jordan Dzieken’s double scored the go-ahead run for Holland Patent, and Niko Ramos and Nate Palmer followed with single RBI.

S-E tied the game loading the bases with one out. The lone run, though, scored on Carter Cole’s infield grounder. Cole went 3-for-4 to lead S-E.

Saturday, the Marauders were tripped up by Sauquoit Valley, 7-6. Felix Rodriguez, Matt Smith, and Mick Khoury had two hits in the loss, and Garrett Matott pitched four innings of shutout relief allowing just one basehit.

SIDNEY - Sidney spoiled Oxford hurler Cam Heggie’s pitching gem edging the Blackhawks Monday afternoon.

Heggie logged a complete game striking out 10, walking none, and scattering nine hits against the powerful Sidney batting lineup.. Brandon Bessett had two hits and two RBI for Sidney, Billy Kozak scored two runs and drove in another, and Trey Crawford’s single in the fifth made it a 5-1 Sidney lead.
