NORWICH – The Chenango County Republican Committee is making final preparations for an evening where politics and seafood combine as the 38th annual Lobster Fest fundraiser gets underway.

Lobster Fest this year will be held from noon to 4 p.m., July 21, at the Canasawacta Country Club, located at 261 County Road 44 in the Town of Norwich.

Long hailed as the most “non-political” political event of the year, Lobster Fest typically draws hundreds of attendees, including dozens of government officials from the state and local levels, said Committee Chair Tom Morrone.

This year’s guest list includes Congressman Richard Hanna, representative for New York’s 22nd Congressional District; Assemblyman Clifford Crouch; Assemblyman Peter Lopez; Assemblyman Gary Finch; and New York State Senators Tom Libous and James Seward.
