Conventions always have a lot to them, Patrollers! This past weekend was one of the biggest comic conventions in the World, called SDCC (or the San Diego Comic Convention). Over the last few years, movie and television studios have been bringing their projects to it for the fans, and since then the SDCC has become a popular Pop Culture destination as well. There have been a lot of projects that have surfaced and the Toddster has decided to focus on some coming to TV for the Fall. We also just received news about a certain Caped Crusader and Man of Tomorrow who may be teaming up on screen for the first time, but more on that later.

Coming To TV - The New Fall Season

Marvel’s Agents of Shield (ABC) - Spinning off from the movie “Marvel’s The Avengers.” The ultimate spy agency has brought together Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to combat threats that they can’t take care of themselves. What happens when the heroes are done battling that threat and who will take care of the world in their absence? Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) was believed to be killed. Now he’s back with an all new team to take on the threats that the heroes aren’t around to take of. In the pilot episode, Coulson assembles his team to investigate a new hero (J August Richards) that has come onto the scene. What will they find out about him? The team jumps into action on September 24 at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Intelligence (CBS) - What would you do if you had a computer in your head? That’s what Gabriel (Josh Halloway) has been picked to do. He’s volunteered for a new top secret project called “Project: Clockwork” where the most sophisticated computer chip in the world is interfaced with a human brain. Now Project Leader Lillian Strand (Marg Helgenberger) has picked Agent Riley (Meghan Ory) to protect him on their assignments. In the pilot episode, Dr Cassidy (John Billingsley) has been kidnapped by Chinese terrorists so he can implant another chip into a new subject. Gabriel and Riley don’t exactly hit it off either. Can they find a way to work together and save the doctor before it’s too late? “Intelligence” hits TV screens on CBS in February.

Almost Human (Fox) - When you’re a cop, you don’t always control who you’re partnered with. Detective John Kennex (Karl Urban) was a good cop and good at his job. In the not so distant future, synthetic humans have been created and brought into the force to cut down on manpower and make sure good men weren’t dying for nothing. During a bust that went wrong, one of them malfunctions and John is critically injured. Time passes by and John rejoins the force not quite the same. He comes back and is partnered with a synthetic partner named Dorian (Micheal Ealy). He’s put together a little differently than your usual synthetic human. John can only do his job with Dorian being his partner. Are they going to be able to make a go of a partnership? Almost Human debuts on Fox on Monday nights in November.

Dracula (NBC) - There are people with a past who might have a mission later in life. Alexander Grayson (Johnathan Rhys-Meyers) has come to England to show them how America has been able to produce electricity. What no one knows is Grayson is really an extremely old vampire named Dracula and he’s returned to find those responsible for turning him into the creature he is. His plans hit a roadblock when he meets Mina Murray (Jessica Degouw). Now he’s not sure what he wants to do. Grayson is sure he wants her for his very own. How will he get her and can he get his revenge? Dracula flies onto screens on NBC on Friday October 25 at 10 p.m.

Ironside (NBC) - NBC is at it again trying to bring back an old favorite with a new twist. Blair Underwood takes over the role originated by Raymond Burr. Underwood plays Robert Ironside. Ironside is one of New York’s toughest detectives until he’s shot in the back and confined to a wheelchair. After he recovers, he gets back to work working with a hand-picked squad of officers who will do the job on his terms. In the pilot episode, Ironside and his team are working on a case that might not want to be solved. Will they be able to do it? Ironside comes to NBC Wednesdays October 2 at 10 p.m.

With the success of “Man of Steel,” Director Zach Snyder, Writer David Goyer, and Henry Cavill have all been confirmed for the first team-up between Batman and Superman to come to the big screen, set for release in 2015. The role of Batman has to be re-cast since it’s been confirmed – at least so far – that Christian Bale will not be donning the cowl. Stay tuned on this one. More next week, Patrollers.
