NORWICH – The first original creators, owners, and operators of the Bohemian Moon in Norwich - Brenda Gibbon and Robert Haltner - are returning to the area with a new business venture: The LaBoca Farmhouse, an organic farm and eatery.
The eatery is located at 934 county Route 33 in the Town of Norwich, approximately 4.5 miles from the Ye Olde Polke Store and roughly five miles from the City of Norwich. The LaBoca Farmhouse is located on the right and is well identifiable by a large sign. The business is slated to open its doors at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22.
“Our concept is Sunday brunch,” said Gibbon. “We’ll have baked goods available as well.”
According to Gibbon, the eatery is seasonal, and since the two are getting a late start this season, it will remain open through November before opening again in the spring.
Gibbon recently completed culinary school at the International Culinary Center in California, which explains the later opening in the season, she said.
“The facility here will be available for catering and private parties,” added Gibbon. With just one day’s notice she said LaBoca can provide patrons with confections including but not limited to: Amaretto pound cake, cheesecakes, fruit and cream pies, tiramisu, and espresso mousse.
