Authorities seek suspect in Kwik-Fill robbery
NORWICH – An investigation is currently underway involving an alleged armed robbery that took place at the Kwik-Fill Gas Station on state Highway 12 in the Town of Norwich on Sunday evening.
According to authorities, the male suspect may be armed and remains at large.
Police reported at approximately 6:55 p.m., Sunday, an unidentified white male entered and exited the convenience store from its front door and fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of currency. The Sheriff’s Office report also stated, “He displayed what appeared to be a handgun.”
The male was last seen entering the plaza located on the east side of state Highway 12, authorities added.
The man has been described as approximately six feet tall, and dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark shoes, black and white gloves, and a white knit hat and/or a white face mask.
Authorities ask anyone who was in the area at the time of the crime and may have information with regard to details or the location of the suspect to contact the Chenango County Sheriff's Office at 334-2000. – Ashley Biviano
