LAS VEGAS – Norwich junior Tristan Rifanburg added another prestigious wrestling title to his already long list of accomplishments.

Rifanburg captured the 2013 NUWAY Southwest Kickoff Classic, affectionately dubbed “The Freak Show,” Sunday afternoon at Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino

Rifanburg, a New York State high school champion and two-time runner-up, captured the 138-pound high school elite division. The top seed in his weight class, Rifanburg won five matches over the two-day event by a combined score of 36-2. He won his finals match over California’s Jacob Macalolooy, 6-0.
