Sherburne-Earlville 69, Canastota 25
SHERBURNE – Sherburne-Earlville’s girls are making the blowout commonplace.
The Marauders ran their unbeaten record to 6-0 in a 44-point rout of Canastota Thursday evening.
Four S-E players scored in double figures led by sophomore Lilly Berg’s 18 points. Berg completed the double-double with 14 rebounds.
“We know it’s good to be in close games, and we expect a tough game against Susquehanna Valley at the Unadilla Valley tournament,” said S-E coach Karen Mulligan. “We didn’t want to run it up in the second half, so we ran our halfcourt offense and worked on different things.”
Counting their latest win, the Marauders have beaten their five Center State Conference opponents by an average of 39 points per game.
S-E senior Mikayla Solloway matched her season-high of 14 points, Mattie Dowdall scored 13, and Savannah Irwin added 10 to go with six assists.
S-E plays Sus Valley Friday, Dec. 27.
