Vestal 64, Greene 51
GREENE – Vestal’s Kevin Franz scored 15 of his game-high 24 points in the second half, and led a dominant Golden Bears third quarter in Monday’s non-league win at Greene.
Vestal led by only five at halftime, but seven points from Franz in the third along with five apiece from Joe D’Esti and Elijah Mushalla helped stretch the lead to 18.
“They started making more shots in the second half, and we shot just 32 percent for the game,” said Greene coach Rick Smith. “This game was good for us in the sense that we faced the type of physicality we will see in sectionals.”
Brandon Davis and Zach Wentlent scored 15 apiece for Greene.
