Norwich 82, Chenango Forks 33
CHENANGO FORKS – Norwich’s best offensive performance of season came four weeks ago against Chenango Forks. In the return meeting Thursday evening, Norwich piled up its second-best offensive total
The Tornado bench accounted for 47 points led by freshman Makenzie Maynard’s season-high 18 points in another blowout victory over the Blue Devils.
“We had some good ball movement, and got good shots as a result,” said Norwich coach Josh Bennett. “I don’t think the final score is indicative of how hard Forks plays. They defend very hard, we just played well offensively in both games.”
Maynard scored 11 points in the first half, Caitlyn Brown had all nine of her points in the second quarter, and Carin Kuhn scored eight in the first two quarters lifting NHS to a 45-16 halftime lead.
Kuhn added 13 points for Norwich, Brown had the aforementioned nine, and Savannah Williams along with Breanna Cashman tickled twine for eight apiece.
Norwich’s record improved to 10-5 overall.
