NORWICH – UHS Home Care continues to earn distinctions within the home health industry. The company, including its newest branch that opened in Norwich, has been named among the Top 500 of the 2013 Home Care Elite, a compilation of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States. UHS Home Care is one of only five home health agencies in all of New York State to be recognized in the 2013 Top 500 Home Care Elite.

Home Care Elite has identified the top 25 percent of over 10,000 home care agencies nationwide based on an analysis of performance measures including quality of care, quality improvement, patient experience and financial performance. Of those earning Home Care Elite distinction, UHS Home Care ranked in the top 500 in the nation.

Greg Rittenhouse, UHS Home Care’s vice president and chief operating officer, stated that the organization has been honored with Home Care Elite status consistently. He credits the company’s employees for the high quality care reflected in this honor.
