NORWICH – More than 200 students received certificates on June 16 at the 2014 DCMO BOCES Career and Technical Education Program Recognition Ceremony held June 16 at the Chenango campus.
Recognition events for the Special Education Program and the Career Academy were held earlier that day. The family and friends that gathered for the celebration of the students’ achievements was an extraordinary sight to behold, and a culmination to the work of both the students and the faculty.
District Superintendent Bill Tammaro commented, “I speak for and to my outstanding team of educators and support staff when I say that today is a day of validation and reflection. In the course of the everyday work week, there are moments of doubt and even despair when our strength is weakened and discouragement threatens to obscure our goals. Our reward and the reason we come to work day after day is to open the doors wide for our students; to help them along the path of success in both their chosen careers and in life. On this day of celebration, we stand strong and renew our pledge to our students; past, present and future. To our students and their families, I say thank you for the faith you have entrusted to BOCES.”
