NORWICH – The Norwich Police Benevolent Association donated $200 to The Place in Norwich this week in an effort to support the organization’s various programs for children and teens in the community.

The PBA is comprised of 16 Norwich Police officers, and its goal is to not only help fund nonprofit organizations, but also to cultivate a positive community outreach. (A full story regarding the Norwich PBA and its involvement in Norwich will appear in an upcoming edition of The Evening Sun).

The Place launched its Annual Campaign to Businesses last fall, but continues to accept annual donations throughout the year, said The Place’s Executive Director Rebecca Sands. Sands said the Annual Campaign to Individual Donors for The Place was launched this spring, and that donations are still needed.
