NORWICH – Continuing a tradition that’s more than 110 years strong, the Norwich City Band will take to the performance stage in East Park on Friday to play a repertoire of melodies sure to delight music lovers young and old.
With another summer season underway, the Norwich City Band is tuning its instruments for a series of free performances starting at 7 p.m. in East Park in downtown Norwich. The band’s free concert series will continue at the same time each week, filling the park with a variety of instrumental music until its final performance on Aug. 15.
Featuring a number of scores that range from contemporary show tunes and popular ballads, to classical marches and patriotic hymns, the Norwich City Band plays something to please every ear, said Norwich City Band Board of Directors member Chris Robb.
