NORWICH – On Wednesday, the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Norwich offered free meals to community members, as part of its Emmanuel Soul Kitchen. It gives out free meals every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in front of the church throughout July and August to promote fellowship throughout the community, as well as support those who could use a free meal.
“It's about fellowship more than a religious program,” said Lynn Walton who organizes outreach on the church's behalf. “We reach out to be a community support for families that may be uncomfortable going to service.”
