‘Chillin’ it’ with Cole Swindell

BINGHAMTON – Rising country star Cole Swindell performed at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton on Sunday to a welcoming crowd. Kristin Bush also made an appearance, and both were well received.

Many might know of Swindell for his songs “Chillin' It” and “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight” that have been playing on popular country radio stations.

When asked about his performance on Sunday, Swindell said, “It was an awesome outside show. It was a good crowd.”

Having recently signed a Nashville publishing deal, Swindell is a strong performer who lives for the stage.

When asked about his favorite aspects of performing live he said, “It's definitely seeing and hearing people sing your songs. Especially since these are ones I've written.”

He explained that when he first began performing in college he mainly performed cover songs, which makes performing his own material in front of an audience even more amazing.

“I write my own music. It's great seeing people have fun with smiles on their faces,” he said.

Swindell may live for performance, but he is also a humble person who hasn't let his growth and popularity as a performer change him.
