BAINBRIDGE – Before the season, B-G coach Pete Feltham hoped his team could compete with the best in the Midstate Athletic Conference.

After Wednesday's win over Greene, Feltham knows his team can not only compete, it can defeat the top teams.

Kyle Hanvey's second goal of the game in the final minute of the second overtime gave the unbeaten Bobcats their fifth straight win to start the season.

Not just that, it was B-G's first win over Greene in Feltham's two-decade tenure as coach. "We were pressing forward pretty hard at the end of the game," Feltham said. "And I was concerned we were giving up too much defensively and would be exposed in transition on a fast break. It did happen one time in overtime, but Brandt (McCall, B-G goalie) made a nice save."

Feltham's crew had to shuffle its lineup due to in-game injuries to a starting defender and midfielder. Hanvey started the game as a midfielder, moved to defense after the injury, then was pushed up to the forward line in the second half.

"It was the kids' decision (to move Hanvey)," Feltham said. "I have a lot of seniors on the team, it was their call, and it's what they wanted to do."

Part of the rotation switch moved Daniel Norris to defense as well. "The kids know what each one is capable of," Feltham said.
