NORWICH – In the spirit of all things frightful, The Chenango Arts Council is soliciting both talent and guts from community – seeking out those brave enough to face their fear of the spotlight for participation in “Wee Witches and Wizards of Norwich” event to be held at the Martin W. Kappel Theater.

For those who have never seized the opportunity to bask in the limelight, the stage can be all yours at this impromptu improv scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and continuing until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25.

A new twist on Halloween's gothic theme, the Chenango Arts Council is sounding the casting call to would-be thespians and stage readers alike – offering John and Jane Q. the chance to take the stage – and a mic – and divulge their scariest story to the unwitting.

“We want the community to know that this is their building too, and so we're developing a number of community enrichment activities that utilize the resources that we have at our disposal,” said Chenango Arts Council Executive Director Diane Batson-Smith.
