NEW BERLIN – The Unadilla Valley Parent School Team hosted its annual Night of Fun on Oct. 24.
There was a wide variety of gift cards donated by individuals to raffle, as well as donations from NY Pizzeria, New Berlin Rotary, Norwich Dunkin Donuts, and Larry Meyers. There were free donuts, cider and coffee available for all to enjoy.
The UV Honor Society frightened the kids in their spook hall. Make-up and professional face painter Denise was all the rave. Relay for Life did a scavenger hunt with all the kids, which won them a $50 cash prize for best activity.
Tools for Schools had a photo booth, Troop 30030 did a donuts-on-a-string activity, and the Village of New Berlin had a giveaway table.
The UVPST gave out candy and door prize tickets, and awarded many prizes and awards at the costume judging.
The UV Parent School Team tries to find new ways to keep such events fun and free to enter. Lynn Macumber would like to thank the more than 25 student volunteers, the school organizations that were involved this year, as well as the New Berlin Rotary for their continued support.
Lynn's husband, Tim, and daughter, Alexa, also helped by picking up pizza for the volunteers, setting up and cleaning up. The UV janitorial staff also deserves praise for a job well done.
The organization has already started planning the 2015 event. Anyone wishing to be a vendor at the next event should email uvpst@yahoo.com.
