NORWICH — In mid-November of this year an open house pulling double duty was held to benefit a local nonprofit that has reached out to hundreds in need.
Compassionate Care Veterinary of Norwich under the direction and ownership Dr. Stevi Culverwell organized the open house to recognize those who answer the call of kindness when it comes to the lesser than fortunate animal population of Chenango County.
While most of the prizes were donated by Dr. Culverwell and employees – and friends – of Compassionate Care Veterinary, visitors who were invited were also encouraged to bring along pet food or related item which would be donated.
This year, Culverwell chose All Animals Matter, Inc. to benefit from this event by proceeds from the main raffle and chinese auction to be donated to All Animals Matter, Inc. (AAM) — headquartered in Oxford.
One of the main prizes of the even was something near and dear to the hear of All Animals Matter — a free spay/neuter for a pet.
