Greene 44, Sidney 37
GREENE – Greene’s trio of Luke Day, Jordan Harrington, and Joe Miranda combined for all but seven of the Trojans’ points in a home win over Sidney Thursday.
The Trojans won for the third time in four starts, and opened up the offense in the second half behind its defense. “Our halfcourt offense is pretty stale, but we used a 2-2-1 zone press in the second half to get us going and create easy baskets,” said Greene coach Rick Smith. “We’re bringing this team along slowly, and we’re starting to show some good signs.”
Day had 14 points in the win, Harrington scored 12, and Miranda posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Greene hosts Delhi Dec. 30.
