OXFORD – The Fort Hill American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) invites you to ring in the New Year at the Post. The members of Auxiliary Unit 376 are once again preparing an exciting and memorable night under twinkling lights and glittering decorations. With just a purchase of a ticket, your evening plans will be complete.

2014 year was the first time that the ALA hosted the end-of-the-year celebration. Due to last year’s popularity and several requests, they are doing it again, but this time organizers say that it will be even better. For starters, the 2015 ticket price has been reduced. Tickets for the event, which will take place Wednesday, Dec. 31 beginning at 8 p.m. and continuing until 1 a.m., are $30 per person – or at the discounted rate of $50 per couple.

In an effort to keep costs at a minimum, the group is asking guests to bring a “finger food” dish to pass. Heavy entrées are not necessary, and simplicity is key. The ALA organizers will furnish appetizers that will again include their ever famous shrimp tower and a sweets table.

Admission to the 21 and over party will provide each attendant with one door-prize ticket for a chance to win a lottery ticket tree to be drawn at 12:15 a.m.
