NORWICH – On Saturday night, Dec. 27, 2014, family and friends of Lucinda Knoll gathered in West Park in downtown Norwich for a candlelight vigil in her memory.
“It was a very good turnout,” said Shelia Strobel, Lucinda's mother. According to Strobel, approximately 75 people turned out for the event that marked the one year anniversary of Lucinda's untimely death.
Amongst the gatherers in the park Saturday night were Lucinda's mother and step-father, her children – Joe, Kurt, and Sal – and many of her coworkers from Norwich Pharmaceuticals.
There was much laughter in the crowd as folks related stories of Lucinda's life. But there were also many hugs and tears as people dealt with the absence that Lucinda's death has created.
