Greene 49, Unatego 33
OXFORD – Greene's suffocating defense led it to an 18-point halftime lead in Monday's Oxford Tournament victory.
"We really limited their shot opportunities in the first half, we got a lot of steals, and we rebounded well," said Greene coach Dave Gorton.
Audrey Platta ignited the Trojans offense early scoring nine of her season-high 13 points in the first quarter as Greene assembled a 14-6 lead. "She took charge for us and got us off to a good start," Gorton said of Platta.
Katie Carey led Greene with 14 points, and Kristie Haskell matched Platta's 13-point outing.
The Trojans play Afton in the tournament's title game tonight at 6:15 p.m.
