CCSO executes ‘no knock’ warrant, heroin recovered

NORWICH – Two were the center of a drug bust following the search of a residence in the Town of Norwich on Monday.

A ‘no knock’ search warrant that had been issued by Chenango County Court Judge Frank B. Revoir Jr. permitted members of the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office to enter and search a residence on County Road 32 in the Town of Norwich.

Upon search, authorities said they found heroin, packaging material, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia.

Ward C. Lozier, 37, and Nichole E. Perrino, 25, both of Norwich were said to be at the center of the investigation and were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony; criminal nuisance in the first degree, a class E felony; and criminal use of drug paraphernalia, a class B misdemeanor.

Lozier was additonally charged with the class B felony of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree.

The warrant stemmed from an investigation by the narcotics division which involved the trafficking of heroin and cocaine. According to authorities, “They would use the home to sell out of and also make deliveries.”
