NORWICH – A repeat felon and heroin dealer was given a chance to recover from his addiction through probation and drug treatment court in Chenango County Court.

Steven A. Manwarren, 47 of Sherburne was arrested on Oct. 11, 2013 along with two other Sherburne residents for possession of heroin.

Chenango County Sheriff's Office deputies attempted to stop Manwarren in his vehicle on Casey Road in Sherburne that day.

Manwarren turned onto another road in order to elude the deputies.

Deputies pursued Manwarren and during the pursuit, 27-year-old Randy Buck, Jr. threw packets of heroin outside the car window.

After Manwarren's vehicle was finally stopped, deputies recovered the drugs and arrested both Manwarren and Buck.
