BAINBRIDGE – As part of the Lenten season, The First Baptist Church of Bainbridge will be hosting a movie night at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday March 21.
The movie – A Child Called Jesus – will follow a small soup and sandwich meal. This movie portrays Jesus as a young boy who has visions of how his adult life unfolds. The film received favorable reviews from the Vatican and has won an international Emmy Award. Drinks and popcorn will be provided at the showing. People planning to attend the film are asked to please call the church office so they can estimate the amount of food needed.
In worship over the next few weeks, the church will be continuing to follow Jesus’ passion during the last week of his life on earth. There will be a Maundy Thursday Tenebrae service at 7 p.m on March 26 with Communion. This service will be followed by a prayer vigil. Services for Good Friday and Easter Sunrise are being planned with the Presbyterians.
