NORWICH – This weekend, a number of “teams” that have organized for the American Cancer Society's “Relay for Life” campaign will be setting up shop at the town of Norwich Grange Hall in an effort to fundraiser for this years big event in July.
“This is my first year on a relay team, and it's something that I do to support those battling cancer,” said event organizer Terry Sue Potter of South New Berlin. The event is scheduled for this Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. that the Grange Hall at the intersection of the Hale St. extension and State Route 32 (E. River Rd.)
Potter herself is an eight-year breast cancer survivor, something she considers a motivation to support others with the disease.
Along with multiple hands-on crafts, vendors, 50/50 raffle and bake sale; children's author Mariah Leal will be on hand for an impromptu book signing appearance.
