GUILFORD – Much like lightning striking the same spot twice, two additional accidents were added to the list of rollovers Monday afternoon, both in the same location on County road 38 in the Town of Guilford.

At 2:34 p.m. Chenango County 911 dispatched Guilford Fire after receiving call of a rollover MVA in that area of 1472 County Road 38, approximately one mile south of the Hamlet of Guilford.

Upon arrival to the scene, emergency crews met and assessed two occupants of the vehicle who had self-extricated themselves. Medical assessment revealed that one of the occupants has sustained potentially serious injury, and was transported to UHS Wilson Memorial Hospital via Life Net helicopter.

Fire personnel established a landing zone for Life Net transport near the intersection of Ives Settlement Road and County road 38.
