CHENANGO COUNTY – The Chenango County Youth Bureau will be sponsoring two programs designed to give frustrated parents the tools they need in order to deal with their strong-willed child.

The first program, “Loving Solutions,” will be held as a no-cost, 10-week series from running from 6-8:30 p.m. starting April 23 at the Greenlawn Elementary School in Bainbridge. The program will teach parents of children ages 5-10 the steps to take in order to better their child’s performance in school, stop unwanted behaviors, and seek answers for children diagnosed with ADD or ADHD.

The second program, “Chenango County’s Parent Project,” is a no-cost, 10-week series held from 6-9 p.m. starting July 2 at the Eaton Center in Norwich. This program is for parents of children in their adolescent years, and who struggle with their willful kids on issues like school attendance and performance, obstinance, alcohol and drug abuse, and other behavioral issues.

This will be the seventh instalment of the Chenango County Parent Project since the program was first offered to the county in 2012.
