NORWICH – A Rome man who was found with 110.9 grams of cocaine, 10 glassine envelopes of heroin, a stolen flat screen TV and sound system in 2013 pleaded guilty and was sent to prison for five years as a second felony offender.
28-year-old Hennessy C. Hawkins of Rome was indicted in December of 2013 for two counts of the class B felony of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, the class D felony of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree and two counts of the class A misdemeanor of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
It was alleged on Oct. 30, 2013 on County Road 32 in the Town of Norwich, Hawkins knowingly and unlawfully possessed more than 500 milligrams of the narcotic drug cocaine with an aggregate weight of 1,109 milligrams, four knotted wraps of more cocaine and 10 glassine envelopes of the narcotic drug heroin.
Hawkins was indicted a couple months later in February of 2014 for the class E felony of criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree.
It was alleged that on Oct. 30, 2013 at a Broad Street residence in the City of Norwich, Hawkins did knowingly and unlawfully possess a Bravia flat screen television and sound system valued at approximately $1,200.
