NORWICH – Organizers of Colorscape Chenango are pleased to announce a meet-and-greet marking the appointment of a new face to the driver's seat of the organization which will celebrate its 20th year of bringing more than 150 artists to East and West Parks later this summer.
A meet-and-greet has been planned to usher in Donna Dvoracek as she takes the wheel from long-time Colorscape Executive Director Peggy Finnegan. A reception will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 8 the Artists’ Palette, 7–19 S. Broad St. in Norwich.
A welcomed addition to the Colorscape crew, Dvoracek brings with her more than 30 years of expertise in marketing, management and the arts. Dvoracek's local roots stem from just over the county line in Otsego County, a graduate of Gilbertsville Central.
Dvoracek earned am associates degree in science from Cazenovia College prior to enlisting with the U.S. Navy and continuing on for her BS in communication with a minor in recreation from James Madison University in Alexandria, Va.
From there, Dvoracek launched a lengthy career with the Navy serving as a military photo journalist and public relations contact.
“I've Been all over the map and traveled the world,” said Dvoracek. “Durning my eight years in the Navy, I was responsible for organizing and managing several large-scale events in the Washington D.C. and capital area.”
