NORWICH – Scott M. Brazee, 39, of the Village of Oxford appeared in Chenango County Court Friday Sept. 18, 2015.
Brazee was previously arrested by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 20, 2015 after a sexual abuse complaint was made from a 12-year-old victim.
It is noted that the Chenango County Child Advocacy Center assisted with the investigation.
Brazee was arrested for sexual abuse in the first degree, and arraigned on the charge in the Village of Oxford Court. Brazee was then transported to the Chenango County Jail on $20,000 cash bail.
Brazee appeared in Chenango County Court in front of Judge Frank B. Revoir Jr. with his attorney, Public Defender John D. Cameron. First Assistant District Attorney, Michael D. Ferrarese appeared on behalf of the people.
Brazee was scheduled to appear on the matters of Huntley, Mapp, Ventimiglia, and Sandoval hearings, in order to determine what evidence should be allowed when the case eventually goes to trial.
It was decided by all parties present that they were only going to be discussing matters on the Huntley hearing, saving Sandoval and Ventimiglia until closer to the trial date.
Detective Miller with the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, was called as the only witness for the day on the matter.
