NORWICH – A City of Norwich resident has been arrested for allegedly unlawfully claiming over $60,000 in welfare money over a five-year span.
Investigators say 32-year-old Rhiannon Browne of Norwich was arrested by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office on Nov. 9 for welfare fraud in the second degree, a class C felony; and offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree, a class E felony.
