OXFORD – The twenty-second annual “Santa’s Secret Shoppe,” held on Saturday, Dec. 5 at the United Church of Oxford (UCO), was a flurry of excitement in a winter lacking any sign of actual snow flurries.
The event – organized by the Brisben Doers, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the Methodist Church, and the United Church of Oxford – was geared toward providing a place for children to purchase affordable gifts for those on their Christmas list.
Every year since 1994, the groups have worked together to weave the sprit of Christmas, community members, and even some delicious treats into a warm blanket of an event that many in the Oxford area look forward to each December.
