NORWICH – The Mid-York Concert Band is all set to resume rehearsals in preparation for their upcoming spring concert.

The first rehearsal of the new year will take place on Tuesday Jan. 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Norwich Middle School band room.

The spring concert program will be "Broadway Favorites” with the Mid-York Concert Band.

Selections will include music from Oliver, Oklahoma, The Music Man, Jersey Boys, Les Miserables, Mary Poppins and Sweeney Todd.

This concert will feature local vocalist and music teacher Meena Conant. The Sherburne Community Chorus will also be joining the band for a special Armed Forces tribute.

The group's music director Mark Sands is looking forward to welcoming back all of the band's present members and is also hoping to be able to greet new members as well.
