NORWICH – Feb. 20, 2016 marks the 21st Annual Polar Bear Jump at Goodyear Lake. This event and organization raises money by jumping into frigid water, as well at the Polar Bear Auction. All proceeds are used to support local children and families experiencing medical disabilities and organizations that provide them with community support. Doris Sherman, RN, a unit supervisor at UHS Chenango Memorial Senior Living, is very involved as a fund raiser and has been a jumper herself for the past eleven years. Last year the event had over three hundred jumpers and raised $127,000.
