GREENE – Recently, some of the Village of Greene Electric customers have been contacted by Progressive Energy Consultants offering to help save them money and give them a better rate on electricity.

But Village of Green offices are warning that this isn’t possible. Municipalities are different than investor owned companies such as National Grid or NYSEG. At the Village of Greene, residents already have low cost electricity.
