NORWICH – Head Start of Chenango County is hosting the Family Literacy Fest 2016 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Saturday, April 16, at the Morrisville State College Norwich Campus.
This is a free event and families throughout the county are encouraged to attend.
Families with children from birth to eight years old are welcome to take part in the plethora of activities planned for the day.
There is set to be storytelling, activities, and crafts with children’s favorite books.
There will also be resources on hand so that parents can utilize the many ways that reading plays an important role in shaping the future of our children. This event has been made possible by the Chenango Head Start Early Childhood Education Committee.
Chenango County Head Start boasts six sites within the county: North Norwich, New Berlin, Norwich, Bainbridge, Greene and Oxford.
