CHENANGO FORKS – The Tornado girls headed to take on the Blue Devils of Chenango Forks this past Wednesday April 20, hot off a 21-5 win over Chenango Valley.

The Tornado would ultimately only earn one run off just three hits from star pitcher Kylee Warner, losing 4-1.

“Errors, we had seven. Seven errors and 13-strikeouts is hard to get anything going in the right direction,” said Norwich head coach Scott Moore. “Only three hits, she (Warner) is good their pitcher. We were making making contact but just couldn’t string anything together.”

Despite the excellent pitching from Warner, Norwich's Hannah Eddy pitched a great game as well which managed to keep the score close. Eddy threw out six strikeouts, with only 3 walks and allowing only four hits on three hits.

“Earned runs was zero, so in the books she should have won. 107 pitches, two errors where they got extra bases and scored on both of them. One in the fifth with a run and one in the sixth, they just should have been outs. Both infield and outfield had errors, three outfield and four infield, we have to get better,” said Moore.

It was the third inning that allowed CF to get the game winning lead, scoring three runs when Warner knock a triple with RBI's in for the Blue Devil lead.
