NORWICH — With the Fourth of July holiday right around the corner, preparations at the Chenango County Fairgrounds are underway to usher in patriotic pride to signal the start of summer.
For decades, Chenango families have flocked to the Fairgrounds to marvel at the magic of thunderous fireworks bouquets overhead — and thanks to Millennia Entertainment group, the long held tradition returns for 2016.
Despite an engineering protect that will continue through the end of July at the Fairgrounds, Millennia's Terry Potter has organized a day long Tractor Pull event at the grandstand leading up to the grand finale.
Tractor and truck pulls are a long standing tradition in this area with a large loyal fan base,” said Potter.
This action-packed family fun day gets underway with the gates opening Monday July 4, at 8:30 am at the Chenango County Fairgrounds. The day will include tractor and truck pull until dusk followed by a fireworks display.
Potter indicated that the day is sure to be a busy day, and with limited space this year spectators should plan on getting there early.
Food vendors Nina's and Tuller's will likewise be on hand throughout the day.
