NORWICH – The Norwich Police Department is actively investigating a burglary and robbery, and the suspect – who was said to have possibly been armed and was donned in a dark scarf over the face – remains at large Friday.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at early Thursday morning on Lackawanna Avenue in the City of Norwich.
At approximately 6 a.m., a resident was said to have been awakened when one individual entered the apartment and began making specific demands. At this time, the demands of the suspect have not been released.
Norwich Police Chief Rodney Marsh said, “The suspect was alleged to have been armed with a handgun during the incident.”
