Woman sentenced to two years in state prison on meth charges

NORWICH – The Chenango County Court convened for an afternoon session on Monday, July 11, where the case of Heather J. Naylor was heard. Naylor, 29, of Otselic, appeared with her attorney John Cameron for a plea and sentence, as well as a violation of probation hearing. Assistant District Attorney Laura Parker represented the people of Chenango County, while The Honorable Judge Frank B. Revoir Jr. presided over matters.

It was alleged that on Feb. 25, 2016, members from Chenango County Probation Department, the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, and the New York State Police, conducted a probation check at a residence on County Road 16, in the Town of Otselic.

During the check, Naylor's co-defendant Calvin M. Parker, a convicted felon, was said to have been found to be in possession of a Remington 870 .20 gauge shotgun, approximately seven ounces of marijuana, and digital scales. At the time, Naylor was found to be in possession of marijuana.

“A strong chemical odor was discovered during the investigation which led to the discovery of a 'one pot' methamphetamine cook," read a release from the CCSO concerning the investigation.
