UNADILLA VALLEY – One local girl from Unadila Valley, Keana Schrag has bolstered her growing resume in the sport of volleyball, after she was asked to and competed in the USA Junior Nationals Volleyball tournament.
Schrag played on the UV volleyball varsity squad last fall season, serving as a captain on the team. The high level of performance and captainship, coupled with her excellence in the classroom, earned her the distinctions of being named all-conference all-star. Keana is also an honor student at UV, and as a scholar athlete earned the Presidential Academic Award.
“Stepping stone to excellence through competition,” read the press release Keana received notifying her of her choice for the national tournament.
The press release explained that, based out of Pennsylvania, the USA Junior Nationals provides one of the top amateur competitions in the United States and offers its program to all athletes who have a high talent level in volleyball and want to develop their skills and techniques through state statewide, national and international competition. This is a unique opportunity for all athletes to improve their volleyball talent through highly organized competition.
