OXFORD—The Oxford Farmers’ Market welcomes back Rebecca Hargrave for a presentation on composting in the bandstand of Lafayette Park, Village of Oxford, on August 6, 10 a.m.–noon. The program is free and open to the public.
Compost is a great addition to your garden and your landscape—it adds nutrients for plants to grow, holds water in the soil, increases soil life and can help protect your soil and plants. Come learn how compost can be made at home for very little money. “Composting will also save you a lot on your trash bill and fertilizer costs,” explains Rebecca Hargrave, Assistant Professor of Environmental Sciences at Morrisville State College. She will do brief presentations every half hour, reviewing display items and taking questions in between.
