Binghamton Woman Sentenced To Six Months

NORWICH – A Binghamton woman admitted she committed grand larceny, and will serve six months in the local jail.

Chenango County Court convened on Monday, Aug. 15, to hear the case of Emily J. Ashman. Chenango County District Attorney Joseph McBride represented the people in the case, while Judge Frank B. Revoir Jr. presided over the case. John Cameron was assigned as Ashman's defense counsel.

Ashman, 25, of Binghamton, stood charged with one count of grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony. It was alleged that on Feb. 14, 2016, in the Town of Oxford, Ashman stole a Citi Bank debit card and proceeded to charge more than $1,000 to it.
