Bail Remains At $25,000 For Woman Charged With Selling Narcotics

NORWICH – Kimberly Harrington, one of the two women arrested after a search warrant executed at a residence on Cortland St., in the City of Norwich earlier in the week reappeared in Norwich City Court on Thursday, Aug. 18.

Harrington, 27, who listed her address as homeless, stood charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony; and one count of criminal nuisance in the first degree, a class E felony.

The criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree alleges that Harrington knowingly and unlawfully possessed a narcotic drug with intent to sell it. In this instance, the alleged narcotic drug was crack cocaine. The criminal nuisance in the first degree charge alleges that Harrington knowingly conducted or maintained a premise or place where persons came or gathered for purposes of engaging in the unlawful sale of controlled substances.

At the beginning of proceedings on Thursday, Harrington was assigned attorney Scott Clippinger to represent her.
