NORWICH – Students in the greater Norwich region will now have the opportunity to benefit from free language enrichment services thanks to a collaboration between Norwich Middle School and Guernsey Memorial Library.
The newly founded Spelling Bee Club will gather in Guernsey Memorial Library's Resource Room beginning on October 6 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., welcoming students of all school ages from around the area. The club will meet every Thursday evening until December 1.
“In small communities like ours, after-school resources for language skill development are limited,” said Norwich Middle School Principal Scott Ryan. “By partnering with our local community library, families can access, at no cost, a wealth of resources to learn now and in the future.”
Ryan went on to say, “There are students who are not in sports or music. For those who prefer academic enrichment, this is a new vehicle to meet friends and develop social confidence.”
