GREENE – In what proved to be another easy win for the Greene Trojans, they hosted the high flying Saints on Seton Catholic, rolling over the division rival 64-30.
En route to a massive offensive day, star running-back Luke Erickson continued to impress on the year following his 172 yard five rushing touchdown performance. Opening the flood gates for Greene was of course Luke Erickson who darted his way into the end-zone for the first score of the night on a three yard run in the first quarter.
Greene proceeded to gain an uncommon passing touchdown from Zach Orzell to Andrew Brigham for the 43 yard strike, taking the early first quarter lead to 14-0.
It is then that Seton finally found the end-zone, when star wide-out John Giangreico snagged a 25 yard pass from quarterback Dan Crowley. At 14-7 we had a tight divisional ball game part way through the opening quarter. That is when Greene's Erickson poured on more of his rushing prowess – ripping off two scores from four yards out and 41 yards out.
Seton would tack on another receiving touchdown from Crowley to Jaylin Ragsdale from 45 yards out, to close out the opening high octane first quarter.
Greene would go on to outscore Seton by a stunning 38 to 14, in the remainder of the lopsided game. Notably Greene led Seton 50-24 at the half.
